Announcement: Article Publication Fee Policy

Dear Authors, Readers, and Contributors,

We are pleased to announce that Jurnal Mahasiswa Dirgantara (JMD) has been accredited SINTA 5. This achievement is an important milestone for the journal and reflects our continuous commitment to improving the quality of academic publishing, editorial management, peer-review processes, and dissemination of scientific works in the field of aerospace and related engineering disciplines.

As part of our effort to maintain and improve the quality of journal management after accreditation, the Editorial Team of Jurnal Mahasiswa Dirgantara (JMD) has decided to implement an Article Publication Fee of IDR 250,000 for each accepted article.

This policy will be applied starting from:

Volume 5, Number 1, 2026

The publication fee is intended to support essential journal operational needs, including article layout editing, proofreading, online journal system management, publication administration, digital archiving, indexing preparation, and the continuous improvement of editorial quality. This policy is also part of our effort to ensure that the journal can be managed more professionally, sustainably, and in accordance with the standards expected of accredited national journals.

We would like to emphasize that the publication fee does not affect editorial decisions. All submitted manuscripts will continue to be evaluated objectively through the journal’s editorial and peer-review process. The acceptance of an article will remain based on its originality, relevance to the journal scope, scientific quality, and compliance with the journal’s author guidelines and publication ethics.

We understand that this policy may require adjustment from authors. Therefore, the Editorial Team is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and clear communication throughout the publication process. Authors will only be asked to complete the payment after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.

We hope this policy will help Jurnal Mahasiswa Dirgantara (JMD) continue to grow as a credible, professional, and accessible scientific publication platform for students, researchers, and academics.
